Jenn Block
Bio
Jenn Block has been in healthcare for over 25 years, focusing predominantly on clinical operations & quality, culturally competent evidence-based care, and risk-bearing entities. Her area of expertise is value-based care and assisting provider groups in making the transition from traditional reimbursement models to shared savings and full-risk models. She also has a robust background in quality and clinical operations.
Education
Jenn earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Management & Leadership from Capella University and recently returned to school for an M.S. in Bioethics.
Professional Background
Jenn began her career in the military as a Corpsman with the Marines. After leaving the military, she served in various positions that focused on clinical operations and quality for organizations such as Boston Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente. Most recently she served as the clinical operations & quality leader for over 250 ambulatory clinics for the Sisters of Charity. She is currently living near Nashville Tennessee and is leading Tennessee and Texas markets for full-risk value-based care.
In addition, she believes in service to our communities and has served on multiple nonprofit boards, most recently Raphah and AgeWell in Middle Tennessee.
Motivation for Teaching
Jenn has a deep passion for ensuring that we improve the health and well-being of our seniors and those living with disabilities, while also encouraging our future leaders to think outside the box to solve our national healthcare crisis. She likes to challenge students to exceed their own expectations and offers students mentoring and support even outside of the classroom.
