Effective Communication

In this course, students develop communication competence through the study and practice of interpersonal, intercultural, and oral communication in diverse contexts. Students learn to analyze audiences, organize ideas, and compose and deliver speeches supported by credible evidence, while also building skills that improve collaboration, relationships, and organizational communication. By fostering an understanding of communication competency, including how communication shapes identity, perception, and culture, and how to critically evaluate spoken communication, the course strives to enable students to better navigate complex personal and professional worlds.
