The U.S. has been viewed as the leader of the free world, particularly in its role in the U.N. and other international organizations like NATO and bilateral alliances or coalitions with Japan, South Korea, Israel and other countries. But now, in this new era of global power politics with the emergence of right-wing politics around the world, key questions arise: Is the U.S. still (or will it continue to be) the leader of the free world? What countries might take its place? What new roles might the U.S. play in global politics?
In this timely course, author and retired political science professor Dr. Paul Richard Viotti shares surprising answers to these and many other questions.
