Bio

Bryan Merchant is a technology leader with over 25 years’ experience in supporting database operations, designing and building data warehouse platforms, and technical operations supporting very large transactional systems. Bryan has a deep understanding of technology and architecture along with an eye for designing systems for performance and scalability.

Education

Bryan earned his Bachelor of Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University.

Professional Background

Bryan is currently the Vice President of Development, Support, and Operations at Amplifire, where he oversees all aspects of the technology organization. He has responsibilities for all development initiatives, which include generative AI solutions, product development, data warehouse reporting, and defining and implementing a robust quality program. In addition, Bryan spearheads the support organization and all aspects of infrastructure and operations including system availability, performance, scalability, business continuity, disaster recovery, security, and operational stability. In previous roles, Bryan has led engineering, databases, and reporting teams supporting business initiatives across finance, executive leadership, and operations teams. In 2012, Bryan helped lead a data warehouse and reporting initiative at OtterBox focusing on data sources across multiple CRM systems.

Motivation For Teaching

Bryan is passionate about mentoring and helping others grow in their careers. Throughout his career, he has supported professionals through mentorship, leadership development, and speaking engagements, including a CIO forum on Data Warehouse concepts.
