Golda Meir House and Historic Auraria Campus Tour
At age 15, Golda Meir—the fourth Prime Minister of Israel and one of the most influential women in 20th-century politics—ran away from her Milwaukee home to live with her older sister in Denver. She later wrote, “It was in Denver that my real education began.”
Golda’s home sits amid fourteen late 19th- to early 20th-century homes and two churches that constitute the Auraria Campus 9th Street Historic District. Join us for a tour of her home and a self-guided walking tour of the district.
