Owls: Nighttime Ninjas

One In-Person Session
Oct. 5, 2025, 2-4pm MT

How do owls fly so quietly? Can they turn their heads 360 degrees? How do they find their prey in complete darkness? Invite a young learner to join you and explore the extraordinary life of owls with Kristen Peterka, schools program manager for Denver Audubon. “We examine the Great Horned Owls by investigating their wings, feet, skulls and beaks from taxidermied specimens,” Peterka says. “Plus, we uncover the secrets behind their stealthy hunting skills.”
