Bio

Mark Cicotello is an experienced human resources professional and an adjunct instructor in the University of Denver’s graduate programs, where he teaches courses in finance and compensation. His work focuses on total rewards, executive compensation, organizational performance, and the strategic alignment of human resources within complex business environments. In addition to his academic role, Mark serves as a consultant and advisor with the New Zealand Trade & Enterprise Beachheads Program. He provides strategic human resources and legal guidance to New Zealand companies seeking to establish or expand their operations in the United States.

Professional Background

Mark previously held senior HR leadership positions across several industries. His past roles include Vice President of Human Resources at Heska Corporation, HR Director of International Operations at Monsanto/Searle, and multiple HR leadership positions at Hewlett-Packard/Digital Equipment Corporation. He also served as an HR consultant with Employers Council, advising public and private employers on HR strategy, compensation, performance management, international HR, and ethics.

Education

Mark holds an MBA from the University of Colorado, and a B.A. in Psychology from Slippery Rock University. He also is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)and a Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP).
