Allison Kelley
Bio
Allison Kelley is a driven professional with expertise managing product development and business process improvement programs and teams. She has spent her career managing projects and programs in regulated industry new product innovation, new product development, portfolio management and business operational systems.
Education
Allison earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Denver and her MBA at the University of Colorado. She holds both a PMP certification as well as a Professional Engineering license.
Professional Background
Allison is currently a program director in a global PMO for Cooper Surgical where she oversees multiple cross-functional product development programs through the product life cycle. She also consults for start-up organizations, helping them establish PMO structures and quality management systems. Previously, Allison served in multiple positions of increasing responsibility in publicly traded organizations within regulated industries.
Motivation For Teaching
Allison finds joy in giving her time back to the community that has supported her, recognizing that time is a finite and valuable asset. She is also passionate about teaching project, program, and portfolio management. She is dedicated to ensuring that the next generation of project management professionals continues to demonstrate the value of these disciplines to corporations.
Helping Students Be Successful
Allison weaves together the theoretical aspect of project management with real world examples so that students can perfect applying the tools in their tool box to the project they are managing. She is available by phone, video conferencing and email to answer questions, provide guidance or geek out on all things project, program and portfolio management.
